Embracing the Divine: Understanding the 108 Forms of the Mother

Updated: Oct 13, 2025

What does it mean to call the Divine Mother by 108 forms?

Could it be that She is showing us the 108 aspects of our own inner power?

  • What is this stotra?: A hymn from Purāṇic tradition, chanting 108 names of Goddess Durga.

  • Why 108 names?: Symbolic of wholeness and cosmic completion (108 beads in a japa mala, 108 Upanishads, etc.).

It would be helpful if you could provide a link to download a PDF file of the 101 names of Devi Durga. This way, we can download it and chant the names offline. It is quite challenging to read and chant the names simultaneously since we need to continuously scroll the screen.
